My interest in behavioural and training started many years ago with my own dogs with whom I had experienced issues. I then started as an instructor with two well-known trainers in the Aberdeen area. They provided me an invaluable opportunity for hands-on experience in training and behavioural work for companion animals and their owners.
I have studied companion animal behaviour and training with renowned associations (see below for details) and up to today I maintain and update my knowledge by attending seminars and workshops on a regular basis.
My aim is to help you understand why your pet behaves in certain ways and to create a calm and positive learning environment in which you can help your pet to learn how to react appropriately.
I have intensively studied companion animal behaviour through COAPE (the only national education provider recognised by Ofqual) and am proud to be a member of the CAPBT – COAPE Association of Pet Behaviourists and Trainers. As such follow their Code of Practice when working as a behaviourist with clients and their pets.
I have graduated from the globally renowned Karen Pryor Academy and am now not only a proud ‘Karen Pryor Academy Certified Training Partner’ but I am also listed as a fully qualified and assessed trainer and member of the ABTC.
